London Day 3 AM
It's 2:20 and we just got back to the flat. We had a great day so far and basically have seen all the touristy sights. We got up early today and went to Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliment. We split up and Em's mom toured Westminster Abbey and we went to the Houses of Parliment which I found out is actually the Palace of Westminster and was donated to the Parliment by some king long ago. See? I'm learning. After the tour we met up and took the tube to Buckingham Palace to see "changing of the guards". We got there about 15 mins early but there were loads of people there. We couldn't really see much over the crowds but my camera could. Sorry I can't post pictures, I brought the wrong cord and I don't have a computer that takes a memory card. Next was the famous-but-not-too-exciting London Bridge (is falling down..) I ended up getting lost in the Borough Market and stood in place for about 10mins waiting for Emily to come find me (my mom taught me well). The market was crazy and there were so many people. After looking at the gorgeous Tower Bridge from the London Bridge we were tired and headed back to the flat which takes me to now. Tonight we are going to London's oldest pub and Charles Dickens favorite spot. A random patient of mine suggested it so I figured it should be neat. And I want some sticky toffee pudding while I'm here.

London Day 2
What a great day! It all started off right when we woke up at 11 and realized we got 11 hours of sleep!! Sleep does the body good! After we all got ready we headed out to Portabello Market in Notting Hill where there is tons of shopping. It is such a cute little area and I got some amazing goods! We ended up being there for a good 5 hours just walking and taking in the environment. Next we went to Leicster Square and bought tickets to...... WICKED!!! I WAS SO EXCITED! It was AMAZING! I honestly could end my trip tonight and I would be fully content. It was so witty and the songs were so great. I have a confession to make: I love hearing accents of any kind and the way people laugh. All the accents entrance me here: English, Irish, Scottish, Italian... I just want to stare at everyone's lips while they talk because I don't understand how they make those sounds... haha. And I love Emily's laugh. She has that laughter that you can't help but laugh with. Needless to say we are all having a great time, and Sheryl is even keeping up with us! Tomorrow is our last day in London and I'm feeling good about our progress so far. Cheers!

London day 1
The last 40 hours have been a blur. Of course my sleeping pills did not let me sleep well on the plane and the lady next to me was going through menopause and fanning herself every 20 mins.... But I'm excited to be in London! After we found our way to monica's flat, we got ready to see the town. We went to the London eye, which is this huge ferris wheel that you can see a vast majority of the city on. After that we grabbed a bite and went to see the Royal Phil Harmonic at the Royal Albert Hall. They played all kinds of rock songs like "Bittersweet Symphony", "Fix You", "Stairway to Heaven", "Bohemian Rapsody", "Penny Lane", "Layla", and even a few Micael Jackson hits. It was FANTASTIC! It made me miss seeing my mom play her cello on stage. I'm pretty delirious right now and I have some sleeping pills calling my name. I'll post pictures soon! PS Thank you Monica for letting us crash at your flat.

Across the Big Pond I Go!
Ok, I'm excited and nervous for this trip. It's my first legit overseas plane ride. I'm equipped with sleeping pills and Xanax so I'm hoping for a drugged-up flight. I just bought this eReader that I'm so excited to use! If you don't have one yet, you need to get on it. So I leave tomorrow around 5pm with my lovely friend Emily and her mom. I'm so glad they let me jump onto their mother/daughter trip! Emily is a pro at traveling so I know I'm in good hands. Now, what do I need to pack? So far I have my toothbrush and floss. Wish me luck and I'll try to post updates as often as I can!
